in his review of palindromes in time out new york joshua rothkopf uses the term "reversible palindrome." since a palindrome is by definition reversible, this phrase could be accurately called redundant.

Kind of like "horribly written Time Out New York review"

Redundant is also a term we could use for the entire oeuvre of Mr. Solondz. The same fucking thing, backwards and forwards. See, we never change....as the Wiener kid says. Couldn't be more true of Solondz himself, who's been making the same piece of shit since 1995.*

A much better, more thorough examination of his reprehensible cinematic deeds and unbridled cowardice can be read here:

But who am I to judge...I kicked a handicapped kid in the shins last week, then berated myself for doing it (silently, of course) and said, "Ah, so is life. I had no choice!"

*And even before that, considering that piece of excrement he made in the 80s...Sex, Love, Walking, Talking, Kicking, Screaming, Lies, Videotape, Other Human Remains and Catastrophes." Or something.

has anyone else noticed the way a lot of the reviews are cribbing phrases from the press release?
